This is a tire question, is wet weather traction increasingly an issue on our nation's freeway system?

or in your opinion people are not slowing down on rain slick roads. I thought that the tires on cars would pretty much check sliding and hydro-planing at highway speeds? Are roads more oily, now than in the past, due to global warming. lol. What do you think?
