Awake but paralyzed, unable to speak, visited by something?

It's 5:22 am, I just woke up after having a very strange experience. Something with a familiar form (arms, body, etc.) was standing over my bed. It couldn't physically touch me, but it was trying too. It stood over my bed for about 5 minutes. I tried to speak, not sure what I was going to say, but my voice wouldn't come out. After it left, I was then free to speak. I decided to stay up because it might visit me again if I try to go back to sleep. I'm not scared or anything, but it's a very unsettling experience. Anyone have a familar experience, and know what it might be?
