How can I get a plane ticket to Afghanistan?

so you are going to join the ARMY so you can buy some helmets!?!?! That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. You cannot "request" to be deployed, and even if you got selected for deployment you cannot pick where you go. And even if you do get over there without joining the army, do you think you are just gonna walk around until you find a US troop and ask him? DEFIANTLY NOT! Our troops are either on a protected base or out on important missions.
